My name is Makis Kouloumbis and I am Inlecom’s Program and Delivery Director. I hold an MSc in Information Systems Engineering, an MBA, a Master’s Certificate in Project Management, a BSc in Informatics, and I am PMP certified and a PM Instructor since 2002. With over 22 years of experience in leading and delivering complex global IT and EU Research projects, I have worked as Portfolio and Senior Project Manager in highly demanding and disciplined environments, such as Hewlett-Packard, PwC and EU’s Horizon and FP7. I am also an expert in Risk, Innovation and Exploitation Management, in multi-million global projects, and a Certified Data Protection Officer. My role in SPINE project is that of the Project Coordinator.
My name is Sissi Koronaiou and I am working as a Project Manager in Inlecom Innovation. I hold an MSc in Information Knowledge Systems, Engineering and Management, a BSc in Informatics and Telecommunications and I am PRINCE2 certified. I have 10 years of experience in IT and finance within different teams, including project management, team leadership, risk mitigation and process improvement. In the SPINE project I am part of the coordination team.
Inlecom Innovation was part of the core writing team and worked on the project concept, the design of innovative interventions and the technical backbone, as well as the setup of the workplan and the governance framework of such a complex and impactful project. Therefore, we embrace the vision and will work towards meeting the project objectives.
SPINE is a very ambitious project, one of the European Commissions’ largest scale Missions projects funded, formed by 39 partners in 16 different countries. The coordination of such a multidisciplinary and diverse consortium is a challenge and Inlecom possesses a successful track record of managing large and complex collaborative research projects, implementing innovative research prototypes, and effectively communicating research results in Europe and beyond.
Inlecom will be exploiting the knowledge gained within the project in new research projects and service contracts and gaining a competitive advantage through enhancing and underpinning INLECOM’s position in the national and international consultancy market and the transportation sector.
On the DT functionality, with the feedback of the cities, we will be able to test future measures in a virtual environment and thus shape mobility sustainably so as to manage it efficiently. This will also allow us to cooperate with other digital enablers, build on existing functionalities and develop new ones.
Inlecom Innovation is the coordinator of SPINE project and therefore responsible for overseeing the successful fulfillment of all project objectives, with the contractual timeframe and budget, and materialize tangible and measurable benefits to the involved cities. Inlecom is accountable to the European Commision and the central contact point for EC and CINEA. We also represent all SPINE beneficiaries, administer the financial contribution and monitor the compliance with the Grant Agreement. Additionally, as a coordinator, we track the progress, monitor the budget, identify potential risks and develop contingency plans, ensure there is effective communication and handle resource management, quality control and maintain records for documentation and reporting. Inlecom Innovation also leads the Digital Twin development work.
SPINE’s vision is to accelerate the progress towards climate neutrality by reinforcing PT systems through their smart integration with new mobility services, connected and automated mobility, sharing schemes, active transport modes, and micromobility.
The drivers of this effort are the SPINE Living Labs in 11 mission cities, so our goal is to implement new services, improved access to PT and change the way of thinking about public transport and mobility behaviors. SPINE suggests a total of 55 co-created innovative mobility solutions, which are green, integrated, resilient, accessible and smart. These include updates of existing solutions but also new solutions or ‘twinning’ solutions meaning they are building on the experience of the Lead living labs. Some of the measures envisioned are: use and upgrade of local and new platforms, improvement or integration of citizen applications with real time information, micro-incentives, inclusion schemes, multimodal journey planner, improve of digital signage, smart parking management, low emission zones and many more.
The application and the use of the suggested solutions will be the proof that the users accept them, adopt them and see the value in their everyday life.
